Information we collect
- Personal Information
- To ensure the uniqueness of user profiles, the App collects their birthdate. This information helps us create a unique identifier for the account. We also collect the birthdate of individuals supported to provide core App functionality and personalized care insights. This user provided content is not shared with anyone other than invited Support Team Members and database administrators.
- To authenticate users, provide multi-factor authentication, and allow the sharing of information between users only at their discretion the App collects their email address.
- If you choose to authenticate using a Google Account, we receive your email address and basic profile information as permitted by your Google privacy settings.
2. Automatically collected information
- Device Information: The App collects hardware model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers.
- Usage Data: The App collects information on how you interact with the app features for the purpose of app optimization.
3. Location Data
- The App allows you to tag your location. We collect precise location data (latitude and longitude) to analyze the correlation between location and behaviors. This data is only collected when you explicitly choose to tag a location.
4. Conversational and Behavioral Support Content
- The App collects the messages and behavioral situation descriptions you enter to receive support, together with the profile details of the individual you support (such as name, age, diagnosis or support needs, known triggers, and baseline). This content can include sensitive information about you and the individual you support. It is processed to provide the App's AI-based support features (see "Artificial Intelligence and Automated Processing") and is shared only with invited Support Team Members and our database administrators.
How we use your information
1. Personal Information
- Birthdate: We use your birthdate to ensure uniqueness of user accounts and to enhance your experience with the App.
- Email Address: We use your email address to confirm your identity, send you important notifications related to your account or the App’s functionality, and to allow the linking of accounts when sharing services. You can choose to opt-out of non-essential communications.
Artificial Intelligence and Automated Processing
The App uses artificial intelligence to provide behavioral support. When you describe a situation or send a message, the content you provide — the message text, the profile information of the individual you support, and the relevant conversation history — is processed by AI models to (a) generate behavioral support guidance and (b) automatically screen each message for indications of a safety crisis so the App can surface emergency resources when appropriate.
These AI models run on Google Cloud Platform, including Google Vertex AI (which provides the Gemini model family) and models we host on Google Cloud infrastructure. This processing is governed by a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) and the Google Cloud Data Processing Addendum between Maximum Ability LLC and Google. Content is processed on Google’s secure servers, located primarily in the United States.
Google does not use the content processed through Vertex AI to train its general-purpose AI models; the content is used only to return a response to the App.
Conversations (the messages you send and the AI responses you receive) are stored and may be reviewed by authorized Maximum Ability personnel to monitor the quality and safety of the support provided and to meet our legal and compliance obligations.
The App’s automated crisis screening is a supportive feature and is not a substitute for professional judgment or emergency services. If you believe someone is in immediate danger, call 911 (or your local emergency number) or 988 (the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline).
Who we share your data with
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
We will only share your personal information (birthdate and email address) with third parties if you have explicitly given us your consent to do so.
We use Firebase for authentication, data storage (Cloud Firestore), and image storage (Firebase Storage). Your data is processed on Google’s secure servers. We also use Google Cloud Platform, including Google Vertex AI, to process the content described in “Artificial Intelligence and Automated Processing.” Google acts as our service provider and data processor under a Business Associate Agreement and the Google Cloud Data Processing Addendum, and does not use this content to train its general-purpose AI models.
How long we retain your data
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time. Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
We retain conversation records (your messages and the AI responses) until you delete your account to support service quality, safety review, and our legal and compliance obligations, after which they are deleted or de-identified. You may request deletion as described in “Data deletion,” subject to records we are legally required to retain.
What rights you have over your data
You can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Data deletion
Users may request the deletion of their account and all associated data by contacting us at support@maxablellc.com or by using the ‘Delete Account’ feature within the App settings.
Where your data is sent
The App utilizes Firebase, Google Cloud Platform (including Vertex AI, located primarily in the United States), Google Play Services, and the Apple App Store.
